RESERVE YOUR SESSION

A person launching a podcast. A dancer in full extension. A family folded close together.  A child at the exact height he stands this November. For one weekend, we open the studio to all of them.

Portrait Pop-Up is a twenty minute directed session on our seamless set. Kimmie guides posture. Enoch shapes the light.

See your frames on screen, and then choose the ones that are yours.  Emerge with portraits that hold this exact season, finished and delivered in time for the holidays.

The Shape Of This Season

one DAY only

Creative directors Kimmie Dobbs Chan and Enoch Chan standing together in coordinated professional attire, holding hands and leaning back gracefully in a cinematic branding portrait

Together they’ve spent years creating images that hold private self-recognition and public visibility within one coherent visual language.

Enoch, Director of Production at The Washington Ballet, is also a Cinematographer and Lighting Director trained across 25 years of television broadcast and recognized by One Eyeland among the top three fashion photographers in the world.

Kimmie is a choreographer who work has been commissioned by the John F. Kennedy Center and the National Gallery of Art, and whose somatic training taught her to read the moment effort interrupts truth.

one holding the space. one holding the frame.

Most portrait sessions give you a photographer and a lens. Portrait Pop-Up brings two directors into the room. It’s the reason the experience feels different from the moment you arrive.

Dual Directors

one weekend only

Portrait Pop-Up is a concise 20 minute studio session for both professionals and families.

Enough stillness to stop performing. Enough guidance to let what's true rise to the surface. Designed to capture this season, its people and its shape, before it moves on.

Here's what unfolds:

The Experience

You arrive styled and ready, and step straight onto our seamless set.

Arrival

Working within a single environment, we shape light and expression together. One outfit. Twenty minutes fully attended. Enough room for something genuine to emerge without rushing towards it.

Immersion

See your images on screen and choose the frames that are yours. Retouched with your choice of prints or print release, delivered in time for this holiday season.
